A Tail-wagging Success

Raising over £1,360 for Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation at Raystede Animal Charity.

This incredible event was organised by the Bruce’s Ditchling, Brighton team. Giving an opportunity for our valued customers, both human and canine, to come together and support a great cause. With the sun shining and spirits high, the Pool Pawty made a big splash, attracting over 100 dogs, 119 swimming participants, and 74 additional spectators. We couldn’t be happier with the success of this tail-wagging event!

Supporting a Worthy Cause

All the profits generated from the Pool Pawty will directly benefit Raystede’s Centre for Animal Welfare.

As an East Sussex-based charity, Raystede focuses on the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of animals in need within the region. By partnering with Raystede, we aim to make a positive impact on the lives of these animals and contribute to their important work. Raystede is the official charity partner for our Ditchling Brighton and Tunbridge Wells centres.

Aquatic Adventure and Socialisation

The Pool Pawty provided a day of aquatic adventure and enjoyment for both dogs and their owners.

Expert Dog Coach, Georgina Snow, was present to guide dogs and their owners on the benefits of building a positive association with water and how hydrotherapy can enhance a dog’s quality of life. Dogs of all abilities, from struggling swimmers to enthusiastic paddlers, had a splashing good time and built confidence in the water.

Moreover, the event served as a fantastic opportunity for dog socialisation, allowing dogs from our centres to make new friends and engage in water enrichment games. The Pool Pawty created a safe and exciting environment for dogs to socialise, play, and create lasting memories, which aligns with the principles of our day care.

Exciting Prizes and Gratitude

Chances to win exciting prizes in our charity raffle.

Participating in the Pool Pawty also meant a chance to win exciting prizes in the charity raffle. Generously donated by our pawsome partners, including the award-winning pet photographer Jackie Eke, these prizes added to the overall success of the event and created further excitement for attendees.

We are truly grateful for the incredible support we received and couldn’t be happier with the success of the event. It’s an absolute joy to see dogs and their owners come together for a day filled with fun and laughter.

Mikayla Burnstein, Corporate Partnerships Manager from Raystede, also expressed their deep appreciation:

“We’re so grateful to Bruce’s Doggy Daycare and all their human and canine customers for raising the amazing amount of £1,360 for Raystede. This will be enough to provide food for all the dogs in our kennels for nearly two months, making a big difference. We receive no government funding and rely entirely on the support of our local community to help us continue our vital work. Thank you so much from all the animals and people at Raystede!”

Our Charity Partnerships

Committed to supporting local communities

At Bruce’s Doggy Day Care, we are committed to supporting the local communities at each of our day care centres. Charitable giving plays a significant role in our outreach efforts. We identify local animal welfare charities and organise fundraising activities involving our colleagues and customers to support these chosen charities. Apart from Raystede, we currently support Birmingham Dogs Home as a Silver Business Patron, linked to our Umberslade centre. We are delighted by the success of this event, and it will be the first of many as we continue our mission to support animals in need.
