Let’s Get Crafting!

  1. Preheat: Before we begin, we’re going to set the oven to 180 degrees.
  2. Dough: We’re then going to move on to making the dough. All you’ll need to do is combine the flour, salt and water in a bowl and getting it to a hard dough like consistency. (You may need to add some more flour if your dough is too wet)
  3. Roll: Roll out the dough to about ½ inch thick, and cut out your desired shape with a cookie cutter, glass or mug depending on your desired shape. You’ll also need to poke a small hole at the top of the shape for your ribbon to hang from.
  4. Press: It’s then time to enlist the help of your willing furry friend! Gently press your pet’s paw into the dough to leave a clear impression and reward handsomely with lots of delicious treats!

    1. Bake: Place the ornaments on a baking sheet and bake for around an hour & a half maximum, until hard. Ideally checking in every half an hour.
    2. Decorate: Once cooled, paint your ornament with festive colors, glitter or leave it natural for a rustic look. If they’ve made Santa Paws’ nice list, you can also add their name!
    3. Seal: To make your ornament last a little longer, you can also seal it with any type of sealant, glaze or clear coat.
    4. Add a Hanger: Thread ribbon or twine through the small hole you made earlier and it’s ready to be hung on your tree for all to see!
