Our second annual People Celebration Day gave our incredible team an exciting, dog-free (yes, you heard that right!) day of fun and games at our day care centre in Cobham. We may not have had the sparkling sunshine of last year, but not even a dash of rain could dampen our spirits!
The special day brought together team members from across our 10 centres and was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to connect, celebrate achievements, and reflect on our successes over the past year.
This year we made sure there was something for everyone, and the variety of activities chosen by our furbulous People team were a big hit. Whether you were looking to challenge your manager to a 1 on 1 round of mini golf or simply enjoy some laid-back crafting over a cup of coffee, we had it all.
For the more energetic members of the team, the Total Wipeout and Zorbing zones brought out our competitive side. While creativity flourished at the painting and craft tables. The Bruce’s team were keen to artistically represent their centre on our Bruce’s mural, soon to be displayed for all to see at Bruce’s Cobham!
It was a real treat to see everyone throw themselves with great enthusiasm into the feast of activities (and most impawtantly, no Bruce’s employees were injured in the “axe” throwing!)
It was then time for a quick paws for some delicious food courtesy of Ruff Wood pizza to give our team the chance to take a quick breather after all of the fun and games. A line was formed for some refreshing ice cream to wash it all down and with full bellies, we were ready for the Company Update.
Our Founder, Bruce and Managing Director, Ben took to the microphone to deliver the year’s overview and kick off the moment we’ve all been waiting for – the awards ceremony!
This year we recognised the outstanding contributions of even more of our incredible team members, after an unbelievable 684 Employee of the Month nominations submitted over the last year – that’s 50% more than 2023. The competition was tough, but we had some standout winners who truly embodied Bruce’s core values.
All winners received a whole range of pawsome prizes, including a hamper full of goodies for the team to enjoy between caring for our furry friends, vouchers to spend on rewards of their choice and a lovely big certificate to display in their reception areas.
It warmed our hearts to see such enthusiasm from our dog loving team. At Bruce’s, our team is the heartbeat of everything we do. This day reminded us of the dedication, passion, and camaraderie that makes our community so special. Here’s to many more years of success, growth, and, of course, celebration!
