Growing Up At Doggy Day Care

Monty is an Golden Retriever who joined Ditchling Doggy Day Care when he was 9 months old.

When Monty joined Bruce’s he was in his naughty teenager phase. He had some issues around dog reactivity and loved to steal things! Monty’s owners brought him to doggy day care with the hope we could help. The socialisation we do with our dogs on a daily basis has seen Monty come on leaps and bounds. As he has matured he has become great with other dogs and is often found playing with his group of doggy friends.

When his owners handed in their notice, due to financial issues, we were keen to step in. Monty is such a loveable dog who we were keen to keep so they were offered 50% off for a period of time to help ease the pressure.

He is a definitely still a cheeky character who has stolen multiple lunches (including a Big Mac!) towels, bedding, collars, scarfs and jumpers. We are still gladly joining in the fight to beat his thieving ways!

His loveable…and slightly naughty ways has made him into one of the Ditchling’s teams favourite dogs.

Monty loves to get stuck in everything we do.

We pride ourselves on the mixture of enrichment activities we do with our dogs on a weekly basis. Although Monty seems to love them all, his owner’s favourite have been Glastonbury At Bruces and Halloween Spooktacular Pawty. These are not only great fun for the dogs, but owners get to see some great pictures of their dogs having the time of their lives!
